Of all varieties of watch the most popular for women are bracelet watches. These types of watches come in a wide variety of material, design construction, and style. They range from simple clasped items to elaborate and expensive museum quality pieces that only the incredibly wealthy can afford.
Many popular version of the designer bracelet watch are made of gold or silver. Gold has long been a favored material in jewelry construction and that holds true with watches, bracelet or not. Gold bracelet watches are a statement in and of themselves. They work well with most outfits and a true gold watch speaks volumes about the individual. One of the most cited statements would have to be that the one wearing it must be well off to afford such an expensive item.
The benefit of owning gold is also noted from a financial standpoint. While the actual jewelry value of the piece will waffle from time to time the price of the gold it is made from will remain steady for months, sometimes years at a time. Many women, and some men, will purchase a bracelet watch made of gold during prosperous economical times and then sell them off during hard times not because they may need the money but because they can make a high return on their investment for doing so.
Not all people purchase bracelet watches for their value though. Some individuals will buy them simply because they are pretty and they need a watch and choose not to get a traditional wristwatch. While digital bracelet watches do exist the truth remains in effect that watches with both a face and hands will remain the most popular for trend setting and fashion purposes. Digital watches are excellent for telling time, but they do not really tell anything about the one wearing them beyond the fact that they wear watches to tell time.
Some designer bracelet watches are designed with the idea of charms in mind. The watch can tell time and the bracelet can tell a story about the owner. Each of the charms might represent something important in their life that they wish to remember or protect.
Watches as bracelets vary from delicately crafted construction to solid and imposing figures. Some even come in the forms of armband and bracers that resemble leather armor except that there is a large watch on it. This sort of thing only seems to appeal to quirky individuals that enjoy wearing such things as opposed to main stream tastes. Still, one has to admit that when they see someone with a leather bracer on their arm checking the time it does have a tendency to cause the watcher to take greater notice of the individual wearing it.
